Santa
Claus is popularly known as the Christmas Father and
also called St Nicholas. Santa Claus is a fat, big bellied,
jolly white-bearded great grand Pa - and dressed with
a red suit trimmed with white. |

It is believed that Santa Claus
visits every home on Christmas Eve, and leave
presents under the tree and in the stockings of
all good children. Santa Claus rides in a sleigh
full of toys drawn through the air by eight reindeer. |

The
full fledge image of Santa Claus, complete with
sled, reindeers, and sack of toys, is drawn
by Thomas Nast by a political cartoonist and
illustrator in Harper's Magazine in 1868, being
partly derived from St Nicholas. In Russia,
he traditionally carries a pink piglet under
his arm. |

in Christmas season, Santa Claus’s picture
or cut out became an integral item of any shop/
department stores and is widely used all over
the world for advertising, greeting cards, seasonal
decorations.
Children write letters to Santa Claus and leave
out food and drink for him. Give and receive
